12/11/2023 0 Comments 450 john deere dozer![]() ![]() These often go unrecognized for the simple reason that the are colored yellow instead of the usual green and yellow. This model just goes to show that as well as producing quality farm and garden machinery, John Deere also produces a range of quality commercial machinery from dozers to diggers. As this model is not a farm tractor or garden tractor/mower, but a commercial vehicle, it too is painted all yellow. Much like the JD D LC, there are actually two models of the 450 J, the John Deere 450 J LGP and the John Deere 450J LT. It’s fuel tank can hold a reasonable 47 US gallons (178 liters) of fuel. It measures 160 inches (4.06 m) in length and has a Blade width of 124 inches (3.15 m). This crawler dozer is 16283 lbs (7385 kg) in weight and it’s John Deere 4045H engine produces 77 net hp, making this mid size crawler dozer pack a reasonable punch for it weight. The John Deere 450 J is a crawler dozer that is of little relation to the 450 D LC. Just like the other commercial equipment that John Deere produces the 450 D LC is painted all yellow. Its a rental but I get to use it for two daysBrand new machine (469 hours) and man is it niceIts comfortable. There is also another model of this digger with a slight variation, the 450 D LC ME. Crawler Bulldozer Crawler Loader Equipment The 450G And 455G Crawler Bulldozer. It’s maximum dig depth with the standard arm attached is 26 feet, 8 inches or (8.13 m). 4 lbs (7,298 kg) john deere 750 c crawler dozer, 1998 one owner tractor. It comes with a 12 foot, 10 inch (3.91 meter) arm as standard, but you have the choice or others, from a 9 foot, 6 inch long arm (2.9 m) to a 16 foot, 1 inch arm (4.9 m). It boasts a whopping 348 SAE net hp providing enormous amounts of power to move it’s 106,180 lbs (or 48.16 tons!) and it’s arm produces 43,228 lbs of arm force, which makes it capable of moving massive quantities or earth, rubble or whatever material you need moved. The other model is the 450J which is a large crawler dozer. If I was to do more bulldozer-farming, then sure, if a farmer invested in bigger implements then they would gain on the tractive effort and floatation that the bulldozer has, but it is an investment. There are 2 very different JD 450 models. In some situations I could get it to work by towing (2) harrows in tandem, which would mean for every trip around the field I was getting twice as much tillage versus that of one harrow, but there was very little field work where I could tandem-up implements. It was too small to pull the really wide stuff that the articulated tractors normally towed, but when it pulled the 10 foot wide stuff, the bulldozer was slow and not really getting a lot of work done. In short it had the traction and power to pull more, and I wanted it too because it was slower than a wheeled tractor, but I just did not have the implements that were wider. The real challenge for me was getting the tractive effort it had, matched with my implements. It took all the work out of fence building! It was almost an automated fence-building assembly line. Then pull wire with the log trailer, swing the grapple of the log trailer around and stretch the wire, and staple them to the posts. I could also tow my log trailer behind in, and devised a bracket that bolted to the side of the blade, and could drive along and sink in fence posts into the ground as fast as we could set them up. I got put fertilizer on nasty pastures that the farm tractor would not go, and that kind of stuff. ![]() I had a pto and 3 point hitch on my 350D and I could get on fields weeks earlier due to the tracks. ![]() ![]() By that I mean, if you get 5 trees behind either the 350 or the 450, it will pull them to the landing without a problem.īulldozers are handy for farming though. It will push quite a bit more dirt than the 350, but logging wise, they are about the same, just because it is hard to get more then 5 trees behind them. ![]()
